Import field reference
These are the device fields any connector can populate. Only the match key is strictly required; everything else is optional.

| serial_number | Manufacturer serial. Common match key. |
| asset_tag | Your district's asset identifier. |
| external_id | The source system's own device ID — useful as a stable match key. |
| make / model | Manufacturer and model name. |
| device_type / os | Type (Laptop, Chromebook, Tablet…) and operating system. |
| purchased_date | Purchase date. |
| warranty_expiry / eol_date | Warranty end and end-of-life / AUE dates. |
| cost | Unit cost — feeds budget forecasts. |
| status | active, repair, retired, loaner, lost, or deprovisioned. |
| assigned_label | Free-text location or assignment (e.g. "Grade 5 cart"). |
| school_name | Matched to one of your schools/buildings. |
| notes | Any additional detail. |
