Importing from Jamf (Apple devices)
Jamf School and Jamf Pro can export your Apple fleet as CSV. Upload that file to a File connector and map the columns.
Export from Jamf
Jamf School: Go to Devices → All, click Export, choose CSV. Jamf Pro: Go to Devices → Search Inventory, run a search for all devices, click Export.
Create a File connector in Edventory
Under Settings → Data Connectors, click + New connector. Choose File upload, name it (e.g. "Jamf iPads"), and set Match devices on to Serial number.
Map columns
| Jamf column | Edventory field |
|---|---|
| Serial Number | serial_number |
| Asset Tag | asset_tag |
| Model | model |
| Device Name | notes (or assigned_label) |
| OS Version | os |
| Building / Site | school_name |
Upload & review
Drop the CSV and Edventory imports the devices. Re-run monthly or whenever you want a fresh snapshot — serial-number matching prevents duplicates.
