Approvals, Completion and payment
Every outside activity needs approval before the teacher attends, including college courses. Trainings from your own catalog don't.
The principal decides
The principal gets an email with the request, its costs and, for a college course, the school's college budget. Approve or Deny works from the email link with an optional note. A principal who is a Staff Development manager and whose Team account belongs to the school can also decide under Review → Needs your action.
Managers keep it moving
Review is split into Needs your action and Waiting on principal, with a count next to Staff Development in the sidebar. A district manager can resend the approval email, or decide for the principal. Edventory warns first when that skips approval steps.
The teacher turns in the Completion
After attending, the teacher opens the request and works down a checklist: proof of completion (a certificate, or a transcript and grade for a college course), the hours or credits earned, a receipt and the amount when they are being reimbursed, and a short reflection when the activity supports one of their plan goals. Submit completion turns on when everything is there.
The district office accepts and pays
A district manager checks the completion and either accepts it, confirming the amount and budget code, or sends it back with a note. Then Mark reimbursed records the check with its date and reference. A district-pays request can be marked paid, with a PO number, as soon as it is approved.
