College courses and the college budget
Choosing a college course type on a request asks for the college or university, course number, semester or term, and planned credits, and checks the request against the school's college budget.
- A budget per school. Set each school's yearly college budget in Settings → Principals. A school year runs July 1 to June 30, and a summer course counts in the school year it ends in.
- What counts as used. The school's college courses this school year, from the moment they are approved. Each counts at its estimated cost until the business office approves an amount.
- Warns, never blocks. The form, the principal's approval email and the spending report all say how much is used and what this request leaves, or how far over it goes. The principal still decides.
- Completing it. The teacher turns in a transcript and the grade, along with the credits earned.

Tick College courses on the All requests tab to see only college courses. The Educators tab's Spending card shows each school's budget, what is used and what remains.
